Second Look
Second Look: Portraiture in Stone and Light" investigates the essential nature of portraiture - what it means to capture a human likeness and presence. Through photographs of classical busts from the Museum of Fine Arts Boston's collection, this project creates a dialogue between two distinct forms of portraiture: the sculptural and the photographic. Each image layers interpretation upon interpretation - from the original sculptor's vision to contemporary photographic representation - revealing how portraiture transcends both medium and time in its quest to capture human essence. These 50 photographs explore not just how we see others, but how artistic interpretation shapes the very nature of representation itself. Full Project Description
